NEURON teacher receives NABT Award

November 4, 2013 - 3:37pm -- Logan H. Lauren

Project NEURON is proud to congratulate Isaac Stewart on receiving the Outstanding New Biology Achievement Award!

Isaac has close ties to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he studied insects and completed his Masters in Science Teaching. He has been a member of the NEURON team for over three years, testing our materials in his classroom, attending the NEURON Teachers' Institute workshops, and even helping us present materials at conference workshops.

The Outstanding New Biology Teacher Achievement Award recognizes a 7-12 grade teacher within his or her first three years of teaching who has developed an original and outstanding program and made a significant contribution to the science teaching profession. The award is sponsored by Pearson, Ken-A-Vision, and NABT.

Isaac will receive a microscope, one year of complimentary membership to NABT, and a recognition plaque at the NABT Professional Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. He will be honored at the Honors Luncheon with other NABT Award recipients. Join us in congratulating him!
