The Guppy Game featured in The Science Teacher

September 17, 2012 - 12:37pm -- Logan H. Lauren

The July 2012 issue of The Science Teacher, NSTA's journal for high school science teachers, has recently published an article that features our activity called The Guppy Game.

The Guppy Game is part of the Do you see what I see? unit and addresses the balance between natural and sexual selection in the context of guppy populations in various habitats. While playing the game, students learn science content in an interactive, student-driven manner.

The article can be accessed free online through NSTA's website. The lesson plan and materials for the lesson that contains The Guppy Game is Lesson 6: Why do guppies have favorite colors?
