Project NEURON at ASTE 2013 in South Carolina

January 9, 2013 - 12:29pm -- Rob Wallon

Kristen Talbot and Barbara Hug will present at The Association for Science Teacher Education (ASTE) 2013 International Conference in Charleston, South Carolina. They will present their talk, “Engaging Students in First- and Second-Hand Data Analysis: The Importance of Questioning Strategies,” on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 9:15-10:30 am in the Gold room.  According to the ASTE program, the presentation “focuses on how two teachers use curriculum materials to stimulate whole class and group discussions regarding first- and second-hand data analysis. Findings show that open questions most frequently lead to connected dialogic interactions, engaging students in class discussions and increasing student participation.”
